Boys’ day out

Boys’ day out - Cheryl Cady

This morning I woke up my husband early and asked him to take our toddler to the museum for kids in Laval. It’s been almost a month since we promise to my son. that we would go there. You would think that a toddler would not show any interest in such a place. Well, not our peanut!

He is a great fan of Peppa Pig cartoon. If allowed, he would spend his entire day watching this silly cartoon. Unfortunately for him, we let him watch it for only half an hour. Ever since he watched one episode of Peppa going to the museum, he has not stopped asking us when he would go to a museum.

Therefore, because of Peppa, he wants to visit a museum. The only one that was suitable for his age was this place in Laval, on Cure-Labelle. I would have liked to go with them, but I had to ran some errands and pass by my mother’s house.

The moment we mention to our son that today was the day when he was finally going to the museum, he was ecstatic. He jumped up and down, let out of few loud hoorays and got himself dressed within less than five minutes. My husband and I, we were both pleasantly surprised by the fact he was able to put his jacket on, all by himself. So far, he hadn't done it all alone. He had always asked for help.

Before they left the house, I ensured my son had a good breakfast. I prepared his small backpack with a pair of clothes to change, if needed, and two snacks in case he was getting hungry. I gave him his bottle of water and helped him climb his car seat. While I was fastening his seat belts, he gave me a hug and whispered it was his best day ever. I loved seeing him so happy.

Once they were gone, I was able to do my own list of things.

When I got to my mother's place, she was looking online for a internet service provider ville de quebec. She had cancelled her plan with her previous provider for some reason, and now she needed another one.

As soon as I stepped in, she asked me to take care of “this pressing thing” and I could not refuse her. Thus, I had one extra thing added on my to-do-list. By the looks of it, it seemed that we were having lunch out. I had no time left to get home and cook lunch before the boys returned.
