A Friend’s New Shop
My best friend has just opened her first beauty shop and I couldn’t be happier for her. It’s something that she has wanted to do for years now, so to see her dream finally get realised is absolutely mind-blowingly exciting. She took me for the grand tour a few weeks before the opening and showed me around. She was stressing at the time because, even though she had practically all of the interiors sorted out, she thought it was a big deal that her shop didn’t have an awning. She kept telling me about how she needed to find a good company that could create a branded awning Montreal so that people would notice the shop whenever they walked past.
Now personally I’ve always seen awnings as little more than a place that I can duck under if it happens to start raining outside but the more I thought about it the more I realised that every shop I go past seems to have an awning in Montreal. There must be a reason for it so I guess my friend’s rather odd fears weren’t completely unfounded.
With that, we took to the internet to see if we could find a decent company that could get her a good awning in Montreal. The brief was pretty simple. It needed to be solid pink and it needed to be somewhat customizable so that she could put her shop’s logo on there. Marketing 101 I guess though I wouldn’t know all too much about that given that my job involves being cooped up in an office all day!
After a little bit of searching, we narrowed down our shortlist to about five companies who might be able to supply a good awning in Montreal. By this point, we were in the zone and didn’t even realise that it was one in the morning by the time we had created the list. We just put a pot of coffee on and powered right through! Sleep is for suckers anyway, plus it was the weekend so I could get away with a late night if needed. We spent the rest of the night looking around for reviews and testimonials for the companies that we had placed on the shortlist. Some were good and some were shockingly bad, but they helped my friend make her decision. Happily, everything worked out and by the time of the grand opening she had her brand new awning.
