A new artist in the family
Believe it or not, two weeks ago I discovered a new passion. I started to paint. Surprisingly, the results looked pretty good. The first painting I did, exceed my expectations. I could not believe that it was me who did that. Imagine! Me, painting. Hahaha! None of my friends would ever believe it! I do not dare to call myself an artist (not yet!) but I do take pride in my newly discovered oil painting skills.
My daughter is responsible for my latest hobby. I was supposed to help her with one of her school art projects and I ended up doing it all by myself. I got so much fun while painting, that I forgot it was her project, and I took over completely. Seeing that I am all into it, she took advantage of the situation and went upstairs and played on the computer.
By the time I finished the painting, it was already dinner time. I called my princess to come have a look at her painting, saying that it was sure an A+. She came downstairs, took a look at it and all she said was: «Holy cow! » That was not quite what I thought she would say, or what I was expecting. But given the fact she was hanging out only with her boys’ classmates, I assumed that’s where she must have picked it up.
We looked at each other and we started to laugh. She asked me what the title of the painting was. I replied that she had to come up with one, since she was the one who was getting graded for the project. We left the canvas to dry and went to the kitchen to prepare supper.
While I was doing the pasta sauce, I got a call from my mother. She just discovered there was mold in her basement. She was hoping I knew someone who’s doing mold removal Montreal.
Listening how upset she was about the whole mold situation, I invited her to come stay with us for a while. We had an empty bedroom and we did not mind at all the company.
It took a bit of convincing but when she agreed, I knew it was the right thing to do. No one should ever live in a house that has mold. Plus I also could have benefitted from having her over here. She could help our princess with her French homework.
